Taking cues from NASA space outfits Helmut Lang created one of his most celebrated piece, The Astro Biker Jacket.
For Autumn/Winter 1999 Helmut Lang Showcased jacket which is a mix of an astronaut space suit with biker jacket detailing. different versions were show case during at the runway show including a material that resembles a tin foil、taking this futuristic aesthetic design element all throughout this collection.
The jacket shown in the picture is a vintage cotton version. It features a padded lining, zip closure, adjustable straps, and the signature fur collar. most of the jackets from this season features a back pack strap inside of the jacket.
